'solarafrica.network' has been collaborating with the Kizimbani Agricultural Technical Institute in Zanzibar, Tanzania, since 2001, answering their request for implementation of renewable energies impairment in their curriculum. Their interest and support in the field of alternative technologies is encouraging for further development.
.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (Ministry of Exterior Affairs), made available to 'solarafrica.network' through the Spanish Embassy in Dar es Salaam, the urgent need for the production of an academic publication for the three year studies will be made possible.

The publication will be specifically focussed in creative ways of resolving energy needs in the agricultural and rural-community sectors, with solutions adequate and available in the East African Region.

Complimentary copies will be distributed throughout Agricultural and Energy faculties, technical centres in the Region, as well as made widely accessible through internet.
